HFO 1234yf

HFO 1234yf is an environmentally friendly alternative to R134a. The designation HFO stands for the fluorine compound  „Hydro fluoride-olefin“. The temperature and pressure properties are comparable with R134a. Before this refrigerant can be used in new systems or for the conversion of existing systems the conformance to the European Union safety directives must be ensured.

„ATEX“ (from the French  „Atmosphère Explosive“) currently consists of two directives for explosion protection, the ATEX-product directive 94/9/EG and the ATEX-protection directive 1999/92/EG.

Abbreviation: R1234yf or HFO 1234yf (2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene)
Areas of use: Coolants for use in car air conditioning systems, refrigeration and freezing units
Composition:  C3 H2 F4
Container sizes:
  • 5 kg charge for Type 6
  • 10 kg charge for Type 12
  • 50 kg charge for Type 61
